Peter Nydegger from Bern has cooked in some of the most well-known locations in Switzerland... at Castello del Sole in Ascona, at Derby in Arosa, at Ermitage in Schönried or at The Ambassador in Zermatt. He has been providing fine cuisine for us for more than 20 years .
Unfortunately, there are no typically traditional Grindelwald dishes, but there are many high-quality products from the village and the region. I am constantly trying to incorporate them into my cooking and there is even an Eigerness menu - this includes, for example, carpaccio made from Grindelwald beef with grated cheese and truffle oil, soup with local goat’s cheese, sautéed veal steak from local calves or a parfait of bergamot from our garden.

Gourmet restaurant "La Marmite" comes to life in Kirchbühl Hotel!
Wall claddings made of light wood, natural plaster and copper as well as an old cooking stove all relate to the more than 100 year-old Kirchbühl cooking tradition. After all, in the opening year of 1900, the "Pension Kirchbühl" was a kind of cooking school for daughters ... "La Marmite" in French means "the cooking pot", hence the use of copper.
The gourmet restaurant, La Marmite, has not only captivated the discerning hotel guests, but has also attracted numerous cuisines from other regions with a fine French-Asian theme by the chef, Peter Nydegger.
